Favorite TV Shows of 2025

This year I decided to keep track of all the things I saw, read, heard, and experienced! I created a template in my journal to record all the important artists that contributed to a project and my ratings and reviews on each piece. This project ultimately helped me find patterns of what I enjoy and inspired my own creative work! It was also just fun to do and made me feel like I was 'doing the work' instead of just consuming content for no reason. I highly recommend you try it - stay tuned for this template on the blog soon!

Let's talk...

TV SHOWS

I love TV and have always loved TV. There's so many good shows out, and it's hard to keep up, but I really loved all on this list.

2025 Season Releases

Severance (Season 2)

Not to be this person, but during Season 1 it felt like I was shouting from the rooftops that this was the best show ever made and no one was listening! I'm so glad everyone realized its genius in Season 2! Multiple episodes have had me watching on my feet. It's hard to make something that feels completely new, and this is truly one-of-a-kind. The visuals are stunning, and every artistic element feels intentional and enhancing of the story. I could talk about this show forever, but I won't. It's perfect, no notes.

Paradise (Season 1)

The pilot for this show should be studied as a perfect pilot. It is so riveting from the very first moment and then has a HUGE twist at the end that changes EVERYTHING. They accomplished so much in this episode and had me so hooked! This show makes you think. I needed to sit in silence and process Episode 7 for a few hours, and I still think about it constantly. The world building is so creative. I can't wait to see where this goes.

Dancing with the Stars (Season 34)

This is the best show on television (besides Beat Bobby Flay)! I've loved this show for years, and I love that it keeps getting better. It is pure joy and humanity at its absolute best. Justice for Milo Season 27.

The Studio (Season 1)

This one was honestly a little stressful to watch, but it's so clever and meta and relatable and funny. The whole show, especially Episode 2, really is as impressive as people say. It's worth a watch whether you're in the industry or not.

2025 Season Releases - Runner Ups

Man on the Inside (Season 2)

I once met Mike Schur and told him he was one of the top people I want to work with in the industry. This one isn't my favorite show of his (Parks and Rec duh - or shoot, maybe Brooklyn 99? It's too hard to choose), but it provides all the same good feelings as they all do. Plus I'll simply never tire of watching Ted Danson.

Running Point (Season 1)

The half-hour comedy we've been waiting for! It left me wanting more!

Previously Released But New To Me

Parenthood -Seasons 1-6 (2010-2015)

I love Friday Night Lights, so I knew I'd love this one. Jason Katims is so talented when it comes to building ensemble casts and telling earnest, nostalgic, and relatably complex stories.

Shrinking - Season 1-2 (2023-2024)

Jason Segel is one of my favorites - I know every line to Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It's so great to see him and Harrison Ford together and to be introduced to some incredible new actors. It's a true dramedy with great writing and my kind of humor.

Rewatches

The Morning Show - Seasons 1-3 (2019-2023)

I still haven't seen the new season, but I did rewatch the others to prepare. The stories are nuanced, and the grey areas of so many topics are navigated beautifully. The cast is literally the best of the best - Billy Crudup's performance, especially, is a master class in acting. Shoutout to my acting teacher, Desean Terry, who shines as Daniel in Season 1 and 2!
