Favorite Movies of 2025
This year I decided to keep track of all the things I saw, read, heard, and experienced! I created a template in my journal to record all the important artists that contributed to a project and my ratings and reviews on each piece. This project ultimately helped me find patterns of what I enjoy and inspired my own creative work! It was also just fun to do and made me feel like I was 'doing the work' instead of just consuming content for no reason. I highly recommend you try i

20 Photos That Will Put Palo Duro Canyon on the Top of Your Travel List
In June of 2020, after four months of being alone inside our one bedroom apartment in New York City, we finally decided we needed some fresh air and time with nature for our sanity. We masked up, traveled down to Texas, and drove to Palo Duro Canyon with my family. It was a much needed, relaxing, beautiful, and inspiring trip that I recommend to everyone I know! These photos are only a handful of some incredible shots I was able to capture. The Grand Canyon is obviously the f

Things To Do In New Orleans
I've had the pleasure of visiting New Orleans a few times in my life and always leave with the best memories. Someday I'd love to go during Jazz Fest, or even Mardi Gras, though I do wonder how much I'd enjoy the crowds and chaos. Obviously, the thing to do in NOLA is go to Bourbon Street, and it is definitely worth it for some wild people watching. But if that's not your thing, there are still so many other fun activities in this city. Here's a few of my favorites! P.S. My f

Favorite Restaurants in New Orleans
I grew up in Austin, Texas and am an avid Texas Longhorns fan. I did not attend UT, but most of my family did. My grandfather even played football there, and my dad now works for the team! That being said, our holiday plans are always based on where my dad has to travel with the team to a Bowl Game. In 2018 and 2024 we were so happy to ring in the new year in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl! Both trips were so much fun and filled with so much good food. I'd argue you can't go w

Banff Day Trip in Winter
While I was in Calgary this past November for work, we really only had one day off. I was determined to make the most of it and see as much of the area as I could since I was basically on a free trip! I always try to take advantage of work trips to explore new places. I suggested to my coworkers that we rent a car for the day and drive up to Banff. There was a little hesitation since everyone was looking forward to a much needed day off, but we were all so happy we chose to t

Things To Do in Calgary
I really fell in love with Calgary. I was there for 16 days for work and felt like I lived there by the end of my trip. I didn't want to leave and kept telling my friends I was moving! I think most people think of Calgary as the city you have to fly into to then drive to some breathtaking sights. This is true (a trip to Banff is a must!), but the city itself has so much to offer. My coworkers who live there described it as "not a night life city, but a drinks after work city"

Favorite Restaurants in Calgary
I spent 16 days in Calgary this year for a business trip, which meant plenty of time to explore and plenty of meals to be eaten! When traveling for business I receive a per diem for meals, so as much as I wish I was the person who would take advantage of my hotel suite kitchen, I simply can't refuse a fun new restaurant. As the trip went on, the recommendation list from locals kept growing, so even after 16 nights I still feel like I missed so many cool spots. I've included d
